LATEST aims to provide a comprehensive overview of educational and training programs in AgTech/Ag Engineering in Europe as a basis to design multidisciplinary, innovative, and locally fine-tuned academic programs in this area that address and respond to sustainability and climate concerns.
The project addresses the needs of Europe´s agricultural stakeholders, including manufacturers, farmers, and public and private technical services. It also brings value to the project´s main beneficiaries, namely students, life-long learners, partners of the project, associated partners, and, through open-access results, the whole agricultural community.
The overall expected result is to contribute positively to the diffusion of AgTech/Ag Engineering as a supporting tool for the mitigation of climate change and sustainable agricultural transitions in the EU, while contributing to the realization of the goals of the European Green Deal and Farm to Fork Strategy. LATEST is funded by Erasmus+ and is carried out by a consortium of transnational partners, including University of Hohenheim (Germany), UniLaSalle (France), BOKU (Austria), University of Udine (Italy), and Harper Adams University (UK).
