Hydrostatic traction drives of combine harvesters are often not in the focus of optimisation, because for the purchase decision of customers other factors are more important. However, a drive specially developed for the machine use offers energy savings potentials, which are currently partly unused. Consequently, representative load spectra are required, but these can only be measured in the short harvesting periods. Therefore, a method for the calculation of predictive component load spectra was
developed at the Institute of Agricultural Engineering of the University of Hohenheim
